Product Description
With experience of about 30 years, we are growing as one of the reliable manufacturers and exporters of Green Flux Powder. It is utilized for cleaning, protecting, and covering of molten aluminum & other alloys. This green colored powder is a mixture of salts that have capability of recovering dross entrapped aluminum. It is known to have high insulating properties assuring good expandability & spreadability. Green Flux Powder can also prevent direct contact of melt to the atmosphere.
Features:
Green Flux Powder
We have in store for our clients, a wide range of Green Flux Powder that is used in aluminum melting for covering, protecting & cleaning the molten metal. These fluxes should be used in 0.5 - 1 % of metal charge for crucible furnaces and 125 - 150 grams per sq. ft. for reverberatory furnaces.
It is used for recovering Aluminum from the hot dross without melting again, which saves the cost of remelting. This flux and red hot dross are added alternately in sandwich fashion in the perforated vessel or bogie. The dross is stirred continuously every 15 minutes till no more metal falls through holes of vessel. The application rate of this flux is 5-10 %.
Packing: 50 packets of 1 kg. Packed in 50 kgs. Double Polylined Hessian sacks, which is solid enough to withstand shakes and jolts of transportation.
Superior Metal Joining PerformanceGreen Flux Powder boosts metal joining operations by efficiently removing oxides and improving the flow of molten metals. Its optimized mineral composition and high purity help create stronger, cleaner joints, making it a preferred choice for industrial welding, soldering, and brazing applications.
Safe Handling and Storage RecommendationsFor best results and safety, Green Flux Powder should be stored in a cool, dry place with its container tightly sealed. The product emits minimal to no odor and retains its efficacy when protected from moisture and contaminants, ensuring consistent fluxing performance during use.
Industrial Grade Quality AssuranceEvery batch of Green Flux Powder is manufactured to meet strict industrial welding flux standards. Its superior solubility and compositional integrity make it reliable for manufacturers, traders, and exporters operating within India and abroad, supporting seamless metalworking processes.
FAQs of Green Flux Powder:
Q: How is Green Flux Powder used in welding and soldering operations?
A: Green Flux Powder is applied directly to joint surfaces to facilitate oxide removal and improve metal flow during welding, soldering, or brazing. It is typically sprinkled, brushed, or mixed with water or a suitable solvent to enhance its effectiveness.
Q: What benefits does Green Flux Powder provide during metal joining?
A: The powder helps create cleaner, stronger joints by removing oxides, preventing re-oxidation, and ensuring smooth metal flow. This reduces defects and enhances the quality of welds or soldered connections.
Q: When should Green Flux Powder be applied in the joining process?
A: It should be applied before heating and joining metals so that it can react with oxides as they form, promoting a clean surface and optimal metal fusion during the process.
Q: Where should Green Flux Powder be stored to maintain its quality?
A: Store Green Flux Powder in a cool, dry location with containers tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption and contamination, thereby preserving its fluxing properties for future use.
Q: What is the recommended process for using Green Flux Powder?
A: Sprinkle or brush the powder onto metal surfaces, or dissolve it in water or a compatible solvent before applying. Proceed with the heating and joining process, ensuring the flux is present throughout to maximize its oxide removal and flow properties.
Q: What is the solubility and form of Green Flux Powder?
A: Green Flux Powder is highly soluble in water and common fluxing solvents, offered as a fine, industrial-grade powder with minimum 98% purity, and is generally odorless or carries a light mineral scent.
