Product Description

It is generally added in two stages, half when melting begins and remaining when metal is completely in molten state. This chemical forms a protective covering over the melts surface and prevents oxidation losses. Cover Flux SP-VI is a green colored powdery salt mixture which instantly expands and spreads to cover entire surface.

It is used for recovering Aluminum from the hot dross without melting again, which saves the cost of remelting. This flux and red hot dross are added alternately in sandwich fashion in the perforated vessel or bogie. The dross is stirred continuously every 15 minutes till no more metal falls through holes of vessel. The application rate of this flux is 5-10 %.
